The most common component to be incorrectly specified on budget kids bikes, get it wrong and they lose pedal power and risk injury from crank arms that are too long. Get it right, and they will spend many happy hours in the saddle and maximise their little leg power!
These traditional, five-arm, 110-bolt pattern spider and come in a variety of lengths to fit junior/youth riders. Compatible with any JIS square-taper bottom bracket, they are cold-forged from 6061-T6 aluminum for strength, low weight and durability and feature beautiful anodized finishes.
Available in anodized red, blue, gold and black with laser-etched graphics in lengths 135 to 160 in 5-millimeter increments (Bottom bracket sold separately)
It’s not an exact science and the various experts advice does vary, but we work on a rough guide of 10% of the riders height in cm, for the correct crank length.
