These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Kids Racing service & website. By visiting the Kids Racing website you accept, and agree to, the content of these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to check regularly before ordering. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Terms of Service
By placing an order via our website (www.kidsracing.co.uk), you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible. Please see our Delivery information page for further information. If a delivery is made to a Business Address we cannot be held responsible for missing parcels if the delivery company has proof the parcel was signed for.
In order to contract with Kids Racing you must be over 18 years of age. Kids Racing retains the right to refuse any request made by you. If your order is accepted we will inform you by email. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card, or bank account used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of goods. All prices advertised are subject to change.
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. Kids Racing retains the right to accept or reject this offer before processing the order. A contract between us for the purchase of the goods will not be formed until your payment has been approved by us, the prices have been verified, and the order has been processed and dispatched. A second email will be sent confirming these arrangements.
Pricing and Availability
Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. Where applicable, prices are inclusive of VAT. Delivery costs will be charged in addition; any such additional charges are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the ‘Grand Total’.
The website may contain typographical errors or other errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. We therefore reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to refuse to fulfil any orders that you may place based on information on the website that may contain errors or inaccuracies, including, without limitation, errors, inaccuracies or out-of-date information regarding pricing, shipping, payment terms, or return policies.
Fair Purchase Policy
At Kids Racing, we buy from our suppliers with an agreement to sell to our private customers. It is not in our business model to sell items in bulk quantities to other retailers or bicycle manufacturers. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders which we suspect are beyond the requirements for an individual or club arrangement. Product Specifications and Suitability
Published product details, specifications and suitability information is the best available at the time. Kids Racing shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any part/s required for the repair of an item. If you have ordered an item that has an unsuitable product description we will remedy this by providing you a full refund upon the return of the item.
We encourage you to ensure all spare parts are fitted by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Kids Racing cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the fitting of a spare part.
Please ensure that you have read your warranty conditions before attempting to install a part or otherwise repair item. Kids Racing cannot be held responsible if the item is damaged or your warranty is voided. Some manufacturer guarantees may be on condition that you use a qualified cycle technician.
Availability / Estimated Delivery Times
We aim to deliver to your door in 2-6 working days. If a product is available as a ‘backorder’ there will be a delay until the supplier obtains stock. We will keep you updated on expected due date of any backorder. We do our best to ensure availability of all advertised products and endeavour to despatch all parts within the quoted time. If there is a delay we will inform you of this via email and the product will be despatched as soon as it is available. If you have ordered multiple items they may arrive separately. Kids Racing has no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. We will do our best to get all orders sent out as quickly as possible. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time, just contact us with your order number. Occasionally we find ourselves having to withdraw an item because it has become obsolete or has been discontinued. If you have placed an order for an item that has been made obsolete we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative if one is available. If a delivery is made to a Business Address we cannot be held responsible for missing parcels if the delivery company has proof the parcel was signed for.

Surcharges are applicable to certain addresses, these will be calculated after your order is placed and we will contact you regarding this. Applicable to the following UK postcodes;
Highlands/Islands of Scotland – postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17- 26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE.
Isle of Man – postcodes IM. London Congestion Zone – postcodes:W1, WC2, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4
A surcharge will also apply to all other Countries listed outside the UK.
Kids Racing offer a very helpful and hassle-free returns policy, after all, we are here to help you! We want you to be happy with your purchases, but if you are not pleased do not hesitate to contact us.
ONLINE RETURNS POLICY:
To return an item contact us to request a new returns number for the item(s) you wish to return. Items returned without a returns number correctly included may take longer to be processed correctly.
Conditions of Return
If you simply change your mind about an item/s or if it does not fit then you can return it to us for an exchange or refund. You must notify us in writing within 14 days of receipt of your goods. Kids Racing must be in receipt of your returned goods 14 days later, i.e. 28 days after you originally received your goods. All returns that are not faulty must be returned unused and undamaged, otherwise they will not be eligible for a refund. All items must be returned in a resaleable condition with their original packaging intact, including tags and labels on clothing. Items must be in a new, unmarked and unused state.
Faulty Items/Warranty Returns
All goods supplied by Kids Racing are from official sources and are covered by the normal manufacturer’s warranty. If an item has failed prematurely you should first contact us to be advised on the next steps to take. Certain products need to be returned to our suppliers for inspection and possible repair before a credit can be issued. If you suspect an item is faulty you must let us know as soon as the fault becomes noticeable to yourself and you must not continue to use the item. For Electronic/Electrical items, you must first go through the relevant manufacturers online support procedure before contacting us if you believe the item to be faulty.
Due to health and safety regulations, for faulty clothing items we request items are washed prior to returning back to us. Once we receive the goods they will be inspected and we will contact you to inform you of how to proceed.
Who pays the postage cost for returns/warranty items?
If an item is being returned to us because it is the wrong size/colour or just unwanted, Kids Racing will refund the original postage costs incurred to send the items to you. You are responsible for the return postage costs. We advise you ensure items are returned with adequate insurance up to the total value of item/items being returned, in case the parcel is lost or damaged in transit. If you do not use a postage service with adequate insurance for returned goods you will not receive a refund if items are lost or damaged. Items remain your responsibility until they are received by Kids Racing.
For items that have been delivered faulty or develop a fault within the manufacturer’s warranty, your return postage costs will be refunded by Kids Racing up to £35 for Bikes and up to £10 for other items. If the return postage is over these limits, please contact us first and we will advise you on the next steps to take. If items returned to us are deemed not to be covered by their manufacturer’s warranty then you will not receive a refund for the postage costs.
IN STORE RETURNS POLICY:
To return an item purchased in store simply return it to our store within 14 days of purchase.
Proof of Purchase
You may return items for refund or exchange even if you’ve mislaid the receipt or delivery note. Please note though, that any refund will be at our discretion and will normally be given as a credit note to the value of the current selling price. Ordinarily if you have your receipt or delivery note we’ll refund the original debit, credit or charge card used to purchase, so make sure you bring that too.
Condition of Returns

Faulty Items/Warranty Returns
If you suspect an item is faulty you must let us know as soon as the fault becomes noticeable to yourself and you must not continue to use the item. You should first contact us to be advised on the next steps to take. Please ensure that any clothing has been washed prior to returning it to us. Please note that some items will be subject to examination and/or manufacturer consultation before a refund is processed.
RETURNS ON CUSTOM BUILT/SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS
Custom made items of clothing, bikes, parts or framesets (Scatto, Culprit etc) are exempt from returns, as these have been created specifically for your use and the manufacturers do not accept returns on custom made clothing, bikes, parts or framesets unless faulty. Specially ordered, non-stock products brought in especially for your requirements are also exempt from refund, unless faulty. If the product is faulty, you may still return in the usual way for inspection by the manufacturer for rectification or refund. Simply changing your mind on colours for instance (once the item has been commissioned to your specification) sadly cannot be refunded. You must accept that hand-finished and painted framesets can contain minor flaws or imperfections, as all hand-finished items do. Faults through manufacturing errors or damage are however covered by our returns policy.
Payment over the Internet can be made via our secure checkout pages using Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Switch/Maestro or Solo cards. You can also pay using PayPal. Card charges will appear on your statement as “KIDSRACING”. All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at UK rates. It may be necessary to adjust prices in the event of an increase in VAT rates, or as a result of a manufacturer price increase. Customers are entitled to a full refund if this is not acceptable. Due to the nature of the clearing system your credit card payment will be taken at the point of processing. If a problem in supply should occur, your payment method will be refunded as swiftly as possible. The refund may take a couple of days to show as cleared funds on your account, depending on payment provider.All orders are fulfilled and despatched from UK, to UK addresses only.
Kids Racing Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Bike Purchases (excluding Balance Bikes)
All our bikes are fully built and correctly PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection to BS EN ISO 8098 & 4210-2) checked. You will need to fit/align the handlebars and fit the pedals yourself, once you have removed the bike from its box (we suggest you keep the box) with instructions provided to assist you to. If you are not able to do this, your local bike shop will be happy to assist for a small charge, however the vast majority of people are perfectly capable of completing this task. If in doubt, always get it checked by a Cytech qualified bike mechanic. If you buy online for delivery, please allow 2-6 working days for it to arrive. You will be notified as to any deviation from this.
If you opt to collect in-store, you can place a 10% deposit over the phone and allow at least 4 working days for your bike to be assembled and PDI checked. In cases where we have had to restock especially for your order, your deposit may not always be refundable. We will contact you by email to notify you when it is ready for collection, and suggest a time when you can take advantage of a free basic BikeFit.
Orders may be cancelled at any time before they are prepared by our team, simply contact us for a full refund. If the item has already been despatched then please see our returns policy above.
Under Consumer Contracts Regulations you have a right to cancel your order in writing (except for customised products) fourteen working days beginning with the day after the day on which the consumer receives the goods. Please see returns policy above for guidance on method and costs of return.
Reviews, Comments and Mail
We encourage you to leave reviews, comments and product questions on our website. We regularly monitor this content and we reserve the right to remove, reject or edit it at any time. When submitting information to our website as a review, product question or customer comment you understand that what you have submitted is not copyright protected and you are permitting its appearance on the Kids Racing website. By purchasing from Kids Racing you will be added to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims.
We will do our best to get all orders despatched as quickly as possible. We have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time and get a refund prior to the item being despatched. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
KIDS RACING WETSUIT HIRE:
Ordering Your Hire Wetsuit:
Choose your size (details on the Product page), select your hire duration then click ‘Add to Basket’. As you ‘Checkout’ tell us the Date you want your wetsuit to arrive in the ‘Order Notes’ field. Any issues with your order and we will contact you.
Shipping & Handling:
Wetsuit Hire is only available for UK customers, to UK addresses. Wetsuits are sent by our selected courier and need to be signed for. A £8.00 charge (which includes insurance) will be required to re-deliver any items in situations where the order was not delivered due to the fault of the customer. These situations are defined as:
1. The item was not signed for because the customer was not present at the listed delivery address.
2. The item could not be delivered because the address provided by the customer was incorrect or incomplete.
The last day you can place an order is the Friday a week before your required date. We cannot guarantee availability if you order later than this. We will contact you immediately if we do not have your wetsuit. We ship at least 2 days before your specified hire start date. If you’re hiring a wetsuit at the last minute, we will do everything we can to get the wetsuits to you in time but cannot be responsible for any delays.
Initial delivery of a wetsuit within the UK is £8. Take care of this box/packaging, as the wetsuit must be returned in the same box.
Wetsuits can only be returned by post. You can choose any method/carrier you wish and are responsible for return shipping cost and insurance. All wetsuits must be returned before or within 2 days of your hire end date (wetsuits must be clean, dry and accompanied with a copy of your order receipt enclosed).
Hire end dates are either 14 days or 28 days after your nominated start date (in the Checkout) for the 14 day or 1 month hire respectively. Full Season hire end date is 31st of October 2017.

Charges and Payments:
The following points outline possible charges that could be applied to your credit card. No charge will be made before we contact you (by email) to inform you of our action.
1. Dirty / Wet Cleaning: If your wetsuit is returned to us dirty or wet we will charge you £10.00 to clean it.
2. Damage: Each rip / tear or any other undue damage will result in a charge of £10.00 per incident. Any wear or tear already made to the suit will not incur a charge, please contact us immediately if this is the case.
3. Late or Non Return of Wetsuit: If your hire wetsuit is not in our possession within 2 days of the agreed hire end date we will charge you an additional £40 per week until the full retail purchase price of the wetsuit has been reached.
In the unlikely event you have ordered the incorrect size and need to exchange (subject to availability) or return please contact us to discuss within 48 hours of your Hire Start Date. A re-stocking fee of £8.00 will be charged to send an alternative wetsuit. Charges will be taken from the original card provided.
We do not allow swimming in chlorinated pools with our wetsuits, this will void the warranty and return/ exchange policy as Chlorine accelerates the deterioration of the gluing on wetsuits. A balance charge (to purchase the wetsuit) may be required if you use your wetsuit in a chlorinated pool. If you do need to use your wetsuit in a chlorinated pool, Contact Us first.
If you do notice any tears or rips please Contact Us and we can discuss what the charges might be. Sometimes a balance price (to purchase the wetsuit) may work out cheaper than repairing.
All our hire wetsuits are new for 2017. You will always receive a new or nearly new, fully functioning Zone3 wetsuit. Cancellations & Refunds:
We do not offer refunds on hire wetsuits returned early or unused. We do not refund for wetsuits if the wetsuit hire is cancelled within 48 hours of the wetsuit being hired out. We do not accept any responsibility for circumstances in which the wetsuit hire is being cancelled. This includes:
1. The wetsuit has not been used due to an event that the wetsuit was going to be used for being cancelled or postponed.
2. Any change in conditions resulting in the wetsuit not being used.
Option To Buy and Part-Exchange:
If you wish, you have the option to buy your wetsuit and we will simply deduct your hire fee. The balance to pay will be our current new price, minus your hire fee.
If you have bought a Zone3 Adventure Wetsuit from us, you can part-exchange your wetsuit against the price of the next size up. Once you have sent us your existing wetsuit and we have assessed it’s condition, we will contact you with our valuation – which you can use against the purchase price of your next wetsuit.
