Based near Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northampton, we stock kids clothing, bikes, shoes, wetsuits, trisuits and kids performance sports gear for your children’s triathlon, running races, swimming events and cycling race. If kids get into sport early, they can develop a life-long passion for fitness, but as a Mum of 3 active boys, I found sourcing kit difficult, most bike/sports shops only have a small selection of child specific products. A love of Mountain Biking 25 years ago was lost to a career and childbirth. Once those kids were old enough and had taken up racing, Linette decided she can’t ask them to do anything that she wouldn’t do herself, so took the plunge and started Triathlon, Cyclocross racing, Road racing and Criterium racing (TeamMK Ladies Team). Inspired by her boys successes, she managed to qualify for the 2015 Road Race World Championships in Denmark, and still plans an Ironman attempt! Best event? My first Olympic distance Triathlon – sick in the lake, total exhaustion – but finished!

 

Pat MacArthur is Dad and a Cytech2 qualified bike mechanic, studying Engineering at De Montfort University. Bit of a bike geek, he loves his road bike, Cyclocross racing, Time Trials and MTB in the woods. Enjoys Sportives and Duathlon too. Best event?  21 hairpins of Alpe D’Huez, a magic 2hrs 15mins with my 7-year old, then doing it again the following year with his 6-year old brother!

 

Our 12-year old Chief Tester loves anything with 2-wheels and pedals! He regulary trains with TeamMK and competes in Road, TT, MTB and Cyclocross races around the region. He managed to win his first Duathlon and narrowly missed out on winning his first Triathlon by 15 seconds! His favourite ride is a 40km Sunday Social with his Dad. Best event? Winning my first Duathlon in a 50mph headwind or maybe the Alpe D’Huez kids Triathlon!

 

Pedalling a bike without stabilisers since he was 2, at 4 he had won the TeamMK GoRide U6 Road, TT, MTB and CX championships with a cadence that was but a blur. Loves to climb, hates the flat – he cycled Cheddar Gorge at 4 and Alpe D’Huez at 6-years old! Along with his brother, was awarded the 2015 MK Citizen Young Achiever award for his 110 mile Mini ‘Ride For Willen’, fundraising £3000 for Willen Hospice, Milton Keynes. Best event? Wargrain MTB Downhill run (accessed by cable car) in the Austrian Tirol or Les 2 Alpes downhills

 

8-year old Cameron was a regular sight at races on his drop-handle barred balance bike, but now he’s pedalling and working hard to catch his brothers up! A medal for his first GoRide Cyclocross race was the highlight of his year!
