HUP bikes at Tour de France Grand Depart launch, Edinburgh, 2027

We are excited! The 2027 Tour de France will set-off from Edinburgh and it was great so see a couple of yellow HUP bikes at the official launch with Cav, who put the baby HUP evo24 to the test with some wheelies!

In case you were confused by organisers taping-over our logos (we don’t pay for exposure, so customers don’t pay inflated prices to cover it) here is a couple of images of our bikes, with their logos in place.

We often get asked by new customers, why they’ve never heard of us before? It’s pretty simple, if the organisations are not being paid to mention you (editorial, advertorial, reviews etc) then you won’t be promoted. All industry ‘reviews’ are paid for and guess who ends-up paying those bills? Yep, you the customer - with increased prices.

Back in 2019 when we launched our ground-breaking bikes, we decided word-of-mouth, recommendation and organic growth was the best way to keep the cost of our bikes as low as possible, so we could make the highest spec without charging high-street brand prices. HUP bikes are a no-brainer, no matter the model, nothing else gets close.

However, we do re-invest in the sport, regulary sponsoring grass-roots racing events and championships, in addition to financially supporting athletes in several disciplines, through Team HUP.

So to our many thousands of customers around the world, we want to say a big thank you for all those taps on the shoulder, quiet conversations and informed recommendations over the last 6 years. HUPcc is just two parents of kids on bikes, but together, we’ve all changed the game, thanks to collective parent power. Some pretty famous parents have played their part too. If you know, you know.

We are really looking forward to the next couple of years and more opportunities to inspire people to get riding their bikes, with the help of our local clubs and coaches around our Peebles home, just an hour from Edinburgh and the Grand Depart of the 2027 Tour de France.
